Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand to Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri, both physicians by profession. Chopra spent her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh; Newton, Massachusetts; and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her father was in the army and thus her family moved quite frequently. Her father hailed from a family of Punjabi origin, settled in Bareilly and her mother comes from a family settled in Jamshedpur. She also has a brother, Siddharth, who is seven years younger than she is. Chopra studied at La Martiniere Girls' School in Lucknow as a young girl. These frequent re-locations took place as her father was a physician in the Indian Army. She subsequently re-located to the U.S. where she studied in Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts and then in John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She returned to India and did her high school at Army School in Bareilly. She began college at Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant. Chopra came in second place at Femina Miss India 2000 competition winning the Femina Miss India World title and subsequently being sent to Miss World where she was crowned Miss World 2000.
Chopra made her debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan playing the role of Priya, the love interest of the protaginist in the film played by Vijay. The film was praised for its wit, although the depth of Chopra's character was seen as lacking. In 2003, she appeared in her first Bollywood film, opposite Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in the Anil Sharma film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She played a supporting role as a doctor named Shaheen in a film The New York Times described as "ripping its text from the seething border tensions between India and Pakistan, spicing its conflict with hot-tempered religious zealots bent on nuclear havoc". Despite being one of the highest grossing films of that year, the overall film was not well received by critics, Chopra was awarded mostly good reviews for her debut Hindi performance. Later that year she appeared in Raj Kanwar's Andaaz, playing the character of Jiya who falls in love with Raj Malhotra, played by Akshay Kumar. The film was a considerable box office success, earning her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award. Rediff.com said of her role, "Priyanka clicks with the audience thanks to her skimpy outfits".
Her next few films released in 2004 like Plan, Kismat and Asambhav performed poorly at the box office. Later that year she appeared in David Dhawan's romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi playing the role of a young fashion designer Rani along with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, the film turned out to be the third highest grossing film of that year. She next starred in Aitraaz. It was her first negative role. Her performance won critical acclaim and earned a Filmfare Best Villain Award. She also received a second nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for the role. In the same year, she participated in a world tour titled Temptations 2004 with other Bollywood actors, including Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal. In 2005, she starred in Blackmail, Karam, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Yakeen, Barsaat and Bluffmaster, none of which performed well at the box office. In 2006, Chopra starred in two of the most successful films of the year - Krrish and Don - The Chase Begins Again. Then in 2007 she starred in Nikhil Advani's ensemble piece, Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love. The movie failed to do well at the box office. Chopra's next release,

Her performance in the film was described by critic Taran Adarsh: "Priyanka is first-rate. She's so much in sync with her character. Also, she gets the Maharashtrian accent perfect". She subsequently appeared in Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Raashee?, a film in which Chopra became the first actress in the world to portray 12 characters on screen. The film was a financial and critical failure. In early 2010, Chopra appeared in Jugal Hansraj's Pyaar Impossible where she portrayed the role of a college beauty who eventually falls in love with a geek. Chopra is currently working on Sajid Nadiadwala's Anjaana Anjaani and Vishal Bharadwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf in which she plays the role of a woman with seven husbands.

BolLyWoOd HoT BaBe (Kareena Kapoor)

"Kareena was born on the 21st September, 1980 which makes her a Number 3 (Jupiter) person in numerology. She is a Virgo (ruler Mercury - Number 5) and her destiny number also adds up to the same Number 3 (Jupiter). In that case, she is ruled by Number 3 (Jupiter) twice which is the planet of 'knowledge and wealth'. No wonder she is minting money be it her films, endorsements, stage shows etc. She also has a slight cusp of Libra (ruler Venus and Saturn - Numbers 6 and 8)" explains Bhavikk.

"Being a Number 3, Kareena is very practical towards life and takes her decisions herself. The mercurial effect of Number 5 can make her impatient and restless by nature. At the same time, she can also be a fast learner. She looks at things very rationally and thinks from the mind first and heart later".

Her dad, Randhir is very protective towards his daughters and wanted both of them to keep away from acting, get married, and settle down, as per the Kapoor family tradition. This led to irreconcilable differences between her parents, ultimately leading to a divorce, with both sisters leaving their dad to live with their mom.

Her film debut was in the year 2000 with 'Refugee' along with the debut of Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek. She went on to appear in 31 other Hindi movies, and has thus far won four awards for her performances in 'Refugee', 'Chameli', 'Dev', and 'Omkara'.

She is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, considered bankable, with an enviable A-listing and as of June 2007 is to appear in 'Tashan', 'Lajjo', 'Kismat Talkies' amongst others.

"Kareena completes her 31st year and now enters the 32nd, which indicates 'speed' in both - her personal as well as professional life. There will be mostly positive developments and there are strong possibilities that even the 'wedding bells' will be heard before September next year. Yes, the chances are that bright for Bebo of getting hitched", says Bhavikk. Saif, are you listening? What are you waiting for?

"On the film front, after the super success of her last release 'Bodyguard', her work in ' Ra.One ' will be liked by one and all, but after that in ' Agent Vinod '; she will not only gain appreciation but even the film will be a box office hit".

Katrina Kaif Biography

Towering at 5’8”, with an hour-glass figure, the beautiful and elegant Katrina Kaif stands apart and is not one to go unnoticed.

Katrina was born in Hong Kong to an Indian Kashmiri father, Mohammed Kaif, and an English mother, Suzanne Turquotte, both of whom are British citizens. Her parents divorced when she was very young. Kaif has seven siblings. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother’s home country, England.

Katrina began her modelling career in Hawaii at the age fourteen; her first job was for a jewellery campaign. She continued modelling in London and did several advertising campaigns, and even walked the ramp in the London Fashion Week. While in London, was spotted by Kaizad Gustad, who casted Katrina in his 2003 film, Boom, which sank without a trace. Movie offers initially trickled in owing largely to her unfamiliarity with Indian languages. In 2004, she played the part of Princess Malliswari in the Telugu movie Malliswari, followed by another Telugu film, Allari Pidugu.

Katrina saw moderate success with the 2005 film Sarkar and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), where she was paired opposite Salman Khan. She co-starred with Akshay Kumar in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, in 2006; the movie flopped but her pairing with Kumar became a super hit jodi.

However, the girl is asking for more! After her spate of successful item numbers, Katrina Kaif, who was a part of the original Dabangg movie, now wants to be part of the sequel too, or so it is heard.

While the shooting of Dabangg 2 is in full progress currently, Katrina Kaif, we hear, doesn't mind even a walk-on role in the sequel. But it's more another 'item number' that she is egging for.

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan spent a condierable time together shooting for Ek Tha Tiger, recently, and Katrina, it is being said, has managed to communicate to Salman her eagerness to be part of the Dabangg sequel.

May be Chikni Chameli is the last item song of beautiful actress katrina Kaif.Because she thought that it may effect her movie carrer. She enterned into movies to settle as movie actress but from the movie Tees Maar Khan she became a item girl by doing the song Sheela Ki Jawaani which became the top item song in movie industry .Later she didn’t get good offers as an actress in movies, but she got plenty of offers from top directors to act in the item songs in their movies. Now,the directors of bollywood are asking Katrina Kaif to do item songs and they don’t mind giving her large remuneration.Recently her song Chikni Chameli in Agneepath movie with Hrithik Roshan once again became super hit in industry.

Finally the curiosity that has always interested all of us has died down. Katrina has finally accepted that she will be getting married in two years. The announcement comes in the wake of the recent reports that Katrina might be planning to settle down in her personal life soon.
